Also, if you were wondering, I like her new costume, but she could wear a turtle neck and baggy jeans and still be a sexy Umbra Witch in my eyes.īayonetta 3 is coming to Nintendo Switch on October 28, 2022. I only hope that she can live up to the hype. I’m glad to see Bayonetta enter a new chapter of her life. There’s a lot to be said about the novelty of the Kaiju battles, but from what I played, I can’t see myself growing tired of the intentional and hypnotic combat systems. I have so many questions, but I can’t look past how much fun I was having.īayonetta 3 proves that the Switch can handle action as it raises the bar of the genre already established by this brilliant series. Further, I want to fight using more than just the two demons I had access to during the hands-on preview. The enemy variety and story are something that I look forward to knowing more about. 1 2 It is the third installment of the Bayonetta video game series, acting as a sequel to Bayonetta (2009) and Bayonetta 2 (2014). It is scheduled to be released on October 28, 2022. I’ll hold back my expectations until I play more. Bayonetta 3 a is an upcoming action-adventure video game developed by PlatinumGames and published by Nintendo for the Nintendo Switch. There’s so much power behind these creatures, but Bayonetta is left vulnerable and almost naked while they stomp around, so that’s something to consider. The limits of this system depend on your surroundings, but they are a true marvel to experience. But then, the entire experience shifted, and I summoned my demon friend using a system called Demon Slave, where I could control the monster and defeat more powerful enemies. The camera moves with the action and displays everything you need to see in a cinematic way. I would say that the video environments appeared dull, but then I was riding a demon using boats as skates while chasing a demon rampaging through the city. Her prey and I fell under her spell as she moved across the screen, executing some of the coolest combos I’ve seen in a video game. Still, as my fingers executed various actions, I experienced a beautifully choreographed action scene of Bayonetta kicking ass. Bayonetta draws from the power of the demons that switch her weapons and means of traversal. You’re almost floating while in an encounter. So regardless if you’re in closed quarters or out in the open, there’s a demon that fits the situation, but you aren’t limited to any specific moveset.Ĭombat is fluid. Players can freely switch between Infernal Demons during chained-together combos to react to enemies. ![]() Bayonetta’s movement feels intentional in combat, and the combo system is deep with the newly added Demon Masquerade system. While the story cinematics was kept light, I got a good idea of the new combat features. The Switch isn’t known for high-quality performance, but Bayonetta 3 delivered the action from the opening moments of the demo.

FEX includes a nice and short Help documents that are available after you have installed so it’s not of a much use while you are installing. Instead of talking about Font Management in detail, I am going to go through the installation of one of those programs, Linotype FontExplorer X. But, the EVF-DC2, is a bit more glasses-wearing friendly with it's circular eye-cup.Īny particular reason you're an M6 and not M5 shooter? I'm leaning toward keeping the M6, but, this is a bit of a hmmm moment as peaking alone with the EVF does not equal the same as magnification even with LCD only. However, it's arguably the nicest EVF I've used, except for the EOS R's. Indeed, you can't do touch and drag. This does however impact your ability to move the magnification zone sadly. You'd think it would be a function they can add in firmware, but it's also not something you would care about if you're using manual focus. The only downside was the inability to use the touch screen as a touchpad to move the focus point as you can on the M5. I've also used the M5, and in my experience they're identical in terms of quality and usability. But the M6 is generally in the bag on paid jobs, it's a very handy backup camera that takes up almost no space I don't mind carrying it even if I don't use it. The M mostly gets used for travel and other personal stuff, the 5D IV mostly paid stuff but some landscapes, and the R is great for my conference work, and personal stuff too. The 6D was supposed to be retired, but it's too worn to be worth a lot, and too good to junk, and to be honest I'm more fond of it than makes any sense, so it soldiers on as a backup. You really own all that gear? 5DIV, 6D and an R? And an M? So higher quality screen, that's a smaller footprint, but, less screen size. The EVF-DC2 is not just smaller, it's screen size is also smaller even though it's still 2.36M dots. I was aware of smaller and no tilt, but I believe it’s also OLED vs LCD with the OLED of the DC2 being superior. I use the DC1, so I don't know specifics about the DC2, but it's functionally identical save for the lack of tilt, I believe. I have used it with 8mm fisheye, 35mm f1.2, 50mm f1.1 and 300mm mirror.Īlso, I've used the EVF-DC1 in the past on the EOS M3 any thoughts about the EVF-DC2? Focus peaking and Magnification work best on an EVF of some kind. Yes, focus peaking and magnification work on both the screen and in the EVF. I know the M5 can do it (Focus Peaking + Mag), but can the EOS M6 do it, either with or without the EVF? Although I decided some time ago not to do 2 systems, I'm considering picking up a used EOS M6 with EVF for strict use with Rokinon 21mm f/1.4 and 50mm f/1.2 as I've been getting the itch to return to manual focus photography for sheer fun.
